milk tea is nice.
tomorrow i'll be in malaysia! level camp Malaysian Montage! until thursday. hope it won't be too hard.
yesterday was the u 14s. RI OWNED! okay not really, they screwed up one round but luckily got past. RI champions~ okay i really had no idea kuanhian was so awesome in debating. but anyway, i got a pretty cool pic of kuan hian kissing the girl's forehead when he shook her hand. (AHHA but of course it's just the angle) lalala. saw the other debaters there. darrel gerald baohuei yingtong. yingtong got best speaker 3rd place o_o wow.
anyway, it was really fun. don't feel like typing it out though.
the finals was RI against RGS, with the motion being : meritocracy is unfair.

today at chinese tuition, my teacher asked me if i could tutor her friend's child in some IQ thing. i'm like, o_O what IQ. apparently my teacher's friend's child had some IQ test in july and i just had to go through with him some IQ textbook. fiftheen dollars an hour! that's pretty good. i'm gonna be rich :D
so anyway, after that i went to buy sushi at giant with my mother. then when i was at the cashier, some girl around my age came up to me and waved, saying "hi!" i'm like, who the hell are you o_O. i only managed an "um..." then she walked away.
i'm really REALLY sure, albeit my pathetic memory that i have never seen her before. it's probably a prank, like truth or dare by her friends i guess. but, hmm.
saw yongxiang on the way back home.
lalala holidays.

argh.. training today was hell. actually it wasn't too bad, but my pounding headache and nauseous really made me feel like crap.
perhaps it's the consequence of staying up till eleven to watch american idol. I WANT LEE TO WIN! crystal isn't that talented.
i tried green apple milk tea on my way home. surprisingly it's really nice. the milk tea does add a different sweet and slightly thicker flavour to it, instead of a plain iceblended.
but perhaps it was cuz i was thirsty after training. anything, including water, tastes awesome after tiring yourself out in the heat.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL HOORAY
but i have four projects to do during the holidays. oh wait, plus RE that's five. shit.
and tomorrow i'm the photographer for u-14s! so see you debaters there.

whee it's so slack in school now. For pe today we just played soccer! all the way! and i scored three goals(all the goals my team scored) ! whee. but of course it's thanks to si kai, simon, jeshua for the awesome assisting. i can't beleive andrew chia saved a penalty.. and jiayao.. um helped. yeah.
english teacher said he've marked ten scripts from our class, and we're doing well :D yay.
any bubble tea flavours to recommend? esp milktea. i've never really tried, and the once i tried some peach milk tea which tasted really weird ><
our english teacher mr lim went through a poem with us today.
-------------------
For A Child Born Dead
What ceremony can we fit
You into now? If you had come
Out of this warm and noisy room
To this, there'd be an opposite
For us to know you by. We could
Imagine you in lively mood.
And then look at the other side,
The mood drawn out of you, the breath
Defeated by the power of death.
But we have never seen you stride
Ambitiously the world we know.
You could not come and yet you go.
But there is nothing now to mar.
Your clear refusal of our world.
Not in our memories can we mould
You or distort your character.
Then all our consolation is
That grief can be as pure as this.
-Elizabeth Jennings

it's an elegy, which is the opposite of an ode. (so an elegy is to commemorate a sad event, usually read during funerals. something along those lines).
The message and emotion here is so well presented in this poem. the grief of not losing a loved one, but the sadness of nothing; the sadness of a missing potential. It's a completely different feeling.

ah well, just thought i had to post this. really meaningful.
wooh exams are over!

and.. my blog is revived! IT LIVES! AND SO DO I!
AHAHA i'm high cuz MY MID-YEAR CTS ARE FINALLY OVER.
chinese was quite dumb; i forgot what fu yan se ze meant. and i didn't know how to write one of the ci yu, = -3 marks. the rest was decent though, hope i can get at least a high 3.6..
science was actually quite fine, except for -2 marks for chemistry.
english was challenging, but i could do it :D i think i'll get above 35/40. i hope.
history was quite sad. what "main fleet to singapore " strategy. mr bernard chan
didn't even MENTION it during lesson, nor was it in our notes. AND HE SAID WE ONLY NEEDED TO PAY ATTENTION TO ACE the ct. but thank goodness i inferred correctly and wrote about warships..
math.. argh. it was hard T_T the highest i can get is like 54/60 already, excluding any careless mistakes. sigh.
geography was easy. essay question was : To increase singapore's population, the singapore government has adopted a few strategies to tackle the problem -babybonus, -worklifebalance-, -encouraging people to get married. which is the most effective. rather straightforward.

but who cares.
I'M FREE~
