my blog is dead.
very dead.
where has everyone gone?
oh wait, there was barely anybody to start with.
anyway, my blog may be dead-er cuz the common tests are coming. sigh.
----
on the way home, i saw a lanky guy with a long long fringe and skinny jeans and canvas shoes listening to some metal.
how did i know it was metal?
i HEARD IT.
when i heard him i thought he was blasting music from his phone, but when i turned and looked the sound was coming from his EARPHONES. i mean really, i'm not exaggerating. it was really loud..
just like a stereotypical emo-kia. although i don't get why so called "emo" people would be like that. do they do it for the look, or what? i don't get it.
-shrugs-
gerald, i soo can imagine you exactly like that guy in the future, no kiddin.
it slipped away

didn't make it through the scrabble finals.
sigh.
one more win was all we needed..
but i can't blame anyone. jeremy and i won all three, dominic lost two cuz his enemies were good, junhao is rather new, and joseph.. isn't very good either.
oh whatever.
fuck.--------------
it's one of those times again, when i feel this crazy burning anger inside me. it's angst.
and i don't like it.
just can't stand alot of things, after all i never really released it before. and i plan to keep it that way.
sigh..

hey peeps, i'm editing some story of mine now. ah.
after prose mentorship today, on the way home after getting off the paya lebar mrt, i saw someone familiar just in front of me - after thinking hard, i realised it was the teacher-in-charge for writer's programme, (who supervisd the mentorship for a while and she knows us) and then i was wondering whether i should say hi or not. i mean i couldn't even remember her name. so i thought i could just avoid eye contact and hope she'll go a different way.
BUT.
she went on the same BUS 135 as me. think she probably saw me already but i still acted as though nothing happened. i mean it's like those awkward moments ._. and she actually got off at the same stop as me. it was only then, then i said hi mdm. she just replied with a smile which looked absolutely freaky. and fake.
ah well.
------
i suddenly developed a mad interest in throwing cards. it's like so cool and fun! after i saw some video of some card throwing professional i just had to do it. and yeah, so far doing well. can't do the overhead throwing thingy yet, it seems very hard.
i feel like a ninja!
okay, just kidding.
scrabble nationals!
Saturday, April 17, 2010 | 4:02 AM
scrabble nationals.
first game,
was against gerald's team.
coincidence huh.
and i played against gerald..
AND I WON BY FIVE POINTS! BWAHAHAHAH
for so many turns i missed a bingo by one or two tiles, then after a long wait i finally had a bingo which saved me. it was intense, really.
team win 3-2
then afterwards, because david's team, dean decided to conveniently go to ORA to see girls instead of go scrabble, david persuaded jeremy from my team to go over. and jeremy wanted to.
cuz they had a higher chance of wnining(which is soo not true)
firstly,
dean's absence has no fking problem with our tema. why the hell must he burden us and poach our teammate? we were all freaking pissed; thank goodness i went to clarify with the tournament director and he said switching wasn't allowed, cuz jeremy played one game with us already.
aah.
second game, easy. my enemy was noob. i tried to be some strategy dude and see who was the proest among them( my team isn't that good) but.. yeah. won by a spread of 280+.
team win 3-2
last game was.. no kick. seriously.
my opponent didn't challenge some obvious words. so i played along.
i played niqe on a triple word.
i played alosings.
i played lawdings.
she didn't challenge any.
result? a 364 spread.
team win 5-0
a small chance of gertting into finals.
after scrabble, me, junhao, gerald, yingtong and cheryl went to the library to mug. quite fun.
GAH

I FEEL STUPID.
oh well, judo match support. RI C boys was champions, kawin was super pro. in the final round he literally lifted the guy up and swung him around to pin him. others did awesomely well too! but it was super hot there.
nevermind.
THEN, to go home i took bus to hougang mrt, then mrt to dhoby ghaut, then took the god damn bus 36 back home. i was reeally tired, and my phone had no battery to play music so i dozed off.
i woke up and wondered why i was still on the express way, cuz it seemed as though i napped pretty long. THEN i realised i was on the expressway to CHANGI airport. (the irony is that i was wondering how bus 36 goes to changi airport cuz it turns off to tanjong katong halfway through ecp)
i slapped myself, only to realise i was awake already. after a long long while reflecting how dumb i was on the bus, i reached a bus stop and took the underpass to the otherside. i thought there was a bus 36 going the other way, but i THOUGHT. i had to take some random bus to tampines mrt then back to payalebar mrt, then take bus to my house.
i know this post is really stupid.
just like me.
100mhurdlesnationals

so today was the big day! and..
ugh.
okay, so there are 18 people in total for c boys 100m hurdles, three heats, six people in each (i assume your math fails.) i got fifth in my heat, 11th overall. (which is pretty weird cuz i beat the fourth place of other heats) didn't qualify, since only the top 8 gets in.
Apparently my lucky hurdle charm (a shard of wood which i knocked off a hurdle by accident while clearing it)didn't help. but i cleared all hurdles with three steps, in between; usually i only can do five hurdles. yay personal achievment. my timing was 17.33s. but i could have done better, really. when i ran, i didn't think too much about technique, more about clearing with three steps, so i didn't lean forward enough when clearing the hurdle. it's really hard to focus on these details when you know that not clearing enough distance can give you a painful injury..
kuanhian did awesomely well and got 4th overall, ding hui the monster got 2nd. ah well.
eric got disqualified for his b boys 110m hurdles cuz he fell down and rolled a little bit into the next lane, sad for him..
dang, i can't pon sch tomorrow but kuanhian and ding hui can. but who cares, i won another race - at payalebar station, i saw the bus 76 at the bus stop and i sprinted, shoebag and backpack flailing around and i made it. i still feel good about catching that bus :D
-----------
anyway, apr (academic progress report released.)
English - 92% ( thanks to mark who did alot for groupwork)
Higher Chinese - 69% (one more % to 3.6 -_-)
History - 80% (not bad, just scraped it with my essay)
Geography - 69% (ONE MORE % TO 3.6 -_-lll)
Mathematics - 86% (easy lah, projects no kick.)
Science - 80% (phew.)
so.. total gpa is 3.733333.... ! hooyeah awesome improvement, but this is only term 1 which is rather easy.
gotta ace my midyears.
track nationals tomorrow!
| 4:13 AM

this should follow up with a change in this guy's life... and etc. just a start.
and.. uh and i updated yesterday too.
----------------------------
“Let my song, sing on forever...”
He continuously belted out the tune while strumming his guitar. People came, and people went; few threw out spare change for the hope of good karma. A thin piece of fabric and a pair of cheap khaki shorts was his look- his appearance was a reflection of his life.
*zingzing, zhing.*
Strumming the guitar, the strings vibrated to form the exact chord desired.
What was once a guitar with its strings tight was now an old, tired instrument with its loose strings hanging.
He didn’t have the money to buy a new one anyway; it stuck on him as his only companion.
“I’ll still love you when you’re gone;”
He had a perfect pitch, and his note was right in tune; yet..
What was once a heartfelt, soulful voice was now merely a hollow vocal performance. Repetitive singing was his only way to survival anyway.
*clink, clink*
A weary smile came across his dry lips and he didn’t stop singing.
What was once a genuine and sincere depiction of happiness was now merely a forced pull of his facial muscles.
After all, he was supposed to be a poor old man; grateful for any little money he was given.
“live the life as you like it, and chase that running goat!”
Just another day of my life, he thought forlornly. His music, the only thing that was pulling his lifeless skeleton along, was slowly going out of power. What had he left to chase?
To be continued.
photography outing '10!
Thursday, April 1, 2010 | 5:28 AM
met up with the others at the esplanade and waited for one hour cuz the rgs people and zhiyuan(organiser) were late. according to him, he slept at five. to finish up the details.
had some orientation games first..
then we split up to groups and started the amazing race! we were given a task sheet(in riddle form) and there was a list of stuff to take pictures of. we had to take three different perspectives of each landmark, and yeah it was pretty fun.
quite tiring though. walked alot.
here's a cool reflection of franklin walking on the pond, with esplanade in background!
yeah, haha. went around the city area, old parliament, raffles hotel, clarkequay, singapore river, merlion, fort canning.
saw this fail signboard on the way xD
and.. our group won! most number of points :D but nobody really cared about the winner, no prize no nothing. at the end when we gathered, it was really fun tau-poking some people.. haha
It was super fun, and i got to know alot more people.. real meaningful :D
